The California Coast and wine country

Hello from the sunny coast of California. We traveled down route 1 and there were some crazy curves...yes, that sign says 15 miles per hour! Check out the video below:

We had some great Harvest Host stops and enjoyed some fantastic California wine.

One of our campsites was right on the beach...gotta love that view! Also loved seeing the flowers still. It's hard to believe it's fall already when there are such pretty flowers blooming.

More coastline...

...and more wineries. This was Dave's favorite, Francis Ford Coppola. They had a really cool museum complete with a Tucker. If you have no idea what that car is watch the movie "Tucker, the man and his dream" with Jeff Bridges. We streamed it that night after a fabulous dinner at their restaurant. Oh, and did I mention that have great wine? :)

A perfect ending for Dave...Italian espresso!

We did make it to Glass Beach but it was a bit underwhelming. The tide was in so we didn't get to see as much of the "beach". Also, it has been pretty picked over so the best thing we got was a nice sunset!

So we say goodbye to the coast and head east...Noodle, where are we headed next?

Fun times! Boy I miss California! What. No glass at glass beach? Couple years ago it was full of glass, sad. Head to Monterey and Carmel, you won't be disappointed! Cute little sea otters. Lynn Taylor
